Dear Parents,

This week will be the last week before our Spring Break starts. This is a reminder that Spring Break is from March 13 until March 17. The school closes on March 10, and the students receive their reports cards on the same day. The school reopens on Monday, March 20.

Parent Teacher Conferences

If you want to talk to the teachers during the Spring Break about the progress of your child, please telephone the school. The time for conferencing with teachers during the Spring Break is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you want to talk to the teachers after the Spring Break, you will also need to phone to arrange the most convenient time for you to conference with your child or children’s teacher. .

Year Book

The school is going to issue a Year Book. Currently we are collecting the pictures of the students. If you can participate in its creation, you are more than welcome. Telephone us if you wish to help.

Anthology

This year we are going to publish the anthology of students’ work. Three best pieces of each student will be selected to be placed in the anthology.

Scholarships

The school announces the availability of scholarships starting the year of 2005/2006. Each year the best two students in academics will receive $200 dollar voucher each. The students can build up to $1,200 dollars towards their graduation. The money is eligible to redeem upon the student’s graduation from Westside Preparatory High School. The results of the year will be announced at the Award Ceremony in June.

PIMS

The students can participate in the Eight Annual Elementary Grades Math Contest (ELMACON) to be held on the U.B.C. campus on Saturday April 29, 2006. This contest is open to students in Grades 5 to 7. If you wish your child to participate, let us know. The deadline for registration is on or before March 31, 2006. If the capacity of the rooms will be reached before March 31, the registration will be closed earlier.
